"Even in the darkest night, the sunflower still turns toward the light. You are not your pain; you are a masterpiece still in progress."
Healing takes time, and every small step matters. Remember, your story is still being written—and the world needs you in it.
🧩 Coping Skills for Heavy Moments
When emotions feel overwhelming, grounding yourself can help you get through the moment. Try one of these simple practices:
Breathe deeply – Inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4.
5-4-3-2-1 Method – Name 5 things you see, 4 things you feel, 3 things you hear, 2 things you smell, 1 thing you taste.
Write it out – Journaling can release what words can’t say out loud.
Pray or meditate – Lean into your faith, or repeat an affirmation: “This moment will pass. I am worthy of love.”
Reach out – Call or text a trusted friend and say, “I need you right now.”
Create a safety plan – Keep crisis numbers, supportive contacts, and calming activities close at hand.
